The regulation plan 906 for Arctic Center has been approved and covers an area of around 800 ha. The plan is divided into four construction phases.

PHASE 1

This phase involves the construction of commercial alpine skiing facilities with restaurants, car parks and the like covering an area of around 745 ha. The building plan for this phase is also approved and a framework application will be presented.

PHASE 2

An application will be lodged to rezone an area of around 40 ha within the approved regulation plan for building for the construction of around 400 holiday houses/cabins. The Tromsø City Council has made a positive advance resolution about such a rezoning. A new regulation plan will be presented for this purpose.

PHASE 3

This phase involves the construction of a hotel, apartments, indoor water park, culture, activity centre and other facilities. This area covers around 15 ha and is approved as part of the existing regulation plan. The building plan will be presented.

PHASE 4

Arrangements have been made for the establishment of competition trials in all alpine disciplines and for other ski sports. Further development of such plans and financing must occur in collaboration with the sports bodies (therefore marked in a lighter colour on the overview). The prevailing plan gives first priority for alpine skiing facilities to Troms Skikrets (county ski association).

We will seek to adapt all building phases for people with disabilities.

TRAILS / LIFTS

The alpine skiing facilities component of the tourism destination covers the largest part of the south-eastern part of the mountain "Lille Blåmannen". The composition of the mountain means it is created for all types of trails/levels of difficulty.

There will be something here to suit all types of users, from novices to extreme skiers. The longest trail will be a full 6 km.

The choice of lift types will be adapted to meet market demand. There is also the option of a top-class restaurant with 360 degree panoramic views.
